The Week In Review
By
This is the first Week In Review post for 2010 and as I look back upon last year, I have fond memories of the progress made while blogging. I am now in my 11th month as a blogger, although I have been online with web sites for many years.
As a blogger I travel around the internet stopping at numerous places during the week to read the work of others and to share some of what I find in this ongoing weekly series. This is a form of networking that I thoroughly enjoy because it leads to meeting so many people from all over the globe. That’s pretty cool considering you never have to leave your office.
This year has just begun and there is a lot going on, not only for me, but all around the net. People are busily getting off to a great start and it shows.

Hey, I am just providing the title so don’t get pissed with me.
Seriously, you know the drill, each January there are legions of people setting out to reduce their clothing sizes. A little motivation is often helpful, so think about that cruise coming up later this summer.

10 Tips for Overcoming Your critics to Build Your Business By Frank Angelone
I met this dude over on David Risley’s guest posting, which is a prime example of how guest posting can benefit your business. Anyhow, his 10 tips piece on critics was spot on and exactly what I think about that situation as well. Check it out.
I followed his link back to his camp and found a really nice blog on technology and social networks. Swing by sometime –> Social Tech Zone
Job growth returns — then fades By Chris Isidore
The dismal U S job market continues to yield bad news as 85,000 more jobs were lost in December, bringing the 2009 totals to 4.2 million.
It is no wonder then that people are coming to the internet in search of opportunities. Families are hurting.

‘it leads to meeting so many people from all over the globe.”
This reminded me of a few weeks ago. I talk to this kid in West Africa named Richard. He just finished high school this year.
We were on FaceBook and I asked the name of his town. I threw it in Google Earth and flew over his town. He was freaking! “How are you doing that?”
He Could not download because he’s on a public computer. He said it will be the first thing that he downloads when he gets his own computer.
It was cool…

Hey Chuck,
good to see you man.
That is a great story on the kid in West Africa, and a fine example of what I am talking about. You made the kid’s day and gave him something to look forward to. That was really cool!
We Westerners sometime forget the cultural differences around the world when we only stay in our own confines.
Here is a post from a good friend of mine in China that provided a simple but touching look inside.

Hi Ching Ya!
You are very welcome on the comment love.
However, this is most unusual as this post was put up on January 9.
Mighty slow transfer rate, no? LOL
I think something is going on with Feedburner, this happened once last week. I checked database and dashboard area, seeing no signs of hacks.
I have heard of backlogs before, but this… LOL

ha.. you bet I was as surprised as you are, especially when I glanced over at the date of this post. I only haven’t been checking on comment entries for 2 days and imagine my surprise. Hopefully this won’t happen again or else I’ll be extremely late to all the thank-you parties.
Coincidentally I get to repay your kindness for my previous link love post. Thank you for sharing your insight about branding, well deserved on the lists.
