The Week in Review

Each week in this series we will highlight some of my internet travels and stops along the information highway that added value to the community as a whole.

The idea is to share with you some of the wonderful things about the online life.

The week ending Sunday November 1^st 2009

We begin the Week in Review with the big story, the internet’s 40th birthday. There were hundreds of posts about this, as you can imagine, but I chose Mashable’s Happy 40th Birthday Internet! by Stan Schroeder. This is a very nice look back in time, which I enjoyed.

Speaking of Mashable, Pete Cashmore, it’s founder is now a CNN contributor, writing a weekly column on social networking and tech. Congrats Pete! You can read his “Privacy is dead, and social media hold smoking gun” here.

Stops along the way

I make a lot of blog visits during the week and here are a few of my stops along the way. Everybody knows about the big dogs, but what about the up and comers who are busting their tails to become great bloggers?
