The Future of Professional Blogging

By

Professional Blogger – One who earns their entire income while blogging and performing associated activities.

That’s my definition of a pro blogger.

Let’s face the facts; you will likely not make the income to sustain your lifestyle by blogging alone. It takes more than daily posts. You’ll have to have something of value to give away and something of greater value to sell.

Anyone who has started a journey down the road of blogging with the intention of going professional has likely seen what a difficult task this can be. The many hours required to get established during the early phases of your blogging career can become overwhelming. If you are stumbling around without a plan, it will really be a tough go.

But consider the rewards of becoming a professional blogger in the coming years.

So what is the future of professional blogging?

One thing is certain, the old model of blogging where you write articles, throw a few ads in the sidebars and await Adsense checks are passing away quickly. Even mixing in a few affiliate links has become a tough route to financial freedom. Yes, you can make some money with this model, but the bigger bucks require a greater level of diversity.

The professional bloggers of today and tomorrow will be in complete control of their monetization functions by developing other creative ways to generate income. They’ve taken the reigns and control their own destiny.

Future blogs will evolve into full blown productions as audio and video are quickly becoming an industry standard. People want to be entertained while learning and I think it’s an excellent use of technology which enhances the overall experience.

This goes to illustrate how much of a true business model blogging has become. Even if you are simply blogging for fun and relaxation, the blogs of tomorrow will be loaded with technology. It’s an evolution that’s time has come.

Hey, you’re in cyberspace, nothing stays the same for long.

It’s all new wave all the time.

I started programming computers back in 1982 (gulp!) and have seen quite a few of these leaps in technology, but somehow this one feels very different than all of those before it.

If you are remotely interested in becoming a professional blogger, the time is now to get about the business of building your future income.

Never has there been so much information, much of it free, to help one start a new career on the internet. The true blogging professionals of today are not greedy selfish people who want to corner the market and keep all of the secrets of success to themselves.

They realize that a new day is dawning in cyberspace and there is plenty of market share to go around for those who dedicate themselves and put forth a serious effort. Besides, your success will be their success, as they serve as your mentors and pioneers of this new business model.

Are you truly interested in blogging and making a sustainable income from your efforts?

Here are a couple of valuable documents I got from David Risley that every blogger should have in his or her arsenal regardless of your blogging intent.

The first is The Six Figure Blogger blueprint, an excellent publication that gives you an insight into professional blogging from the beginning.  A look inside provided by someone who has already traveled the trail.

The second is The Future of Blogging Income, an insight into how a pro blogger sees the future and how a change in approach is needed.

It’s a new day folks. If you want to launch an online business, I really believe that the time is now.

If you can commit to following a plan of action during the next 12 to 18 months, I think you can see a nice return on your efforts. No, you will probably not be a millionaire by then, but you’ll not be where you are today. Let’s be real about this.

Blogging no doubt, is a business. And all new businesses must be grown, which generally doesn’t happen overnight.

Professional blogging has a bright future and many successful careers will be carved out of this mold. If you like to blog and are willing to lay a foundation and build upon it for a period of time, you may someday look back upon this time and smile.

Keep Blogging!
