Downtime – An Opportunity to Refresh

By

This post has nothing to do with blogging strategy or internet marketing, and everything to do with getting out of Dodge for the weekend.

All pack up and ready to roll, we’re heading to the ocean to do some serious loafing. After a long busy week, this is just what is needed, an opportunity to kick back and watch the clouds go by.

Everything is prepared and loaded. This blog has a few post laying in the hopper that will activate when the clock reaches it’s predetermined hour. In fact, by the time you read this, I will have already reached my destination and settled in.

Internet interaction will be minimal this weekend, although I always keep my finger on the pulse. They’ll be a few Tweets here and there, but no prolonged periods of time will be spent in cyberspace for the next couple of days.

Remember, it is very important to schedule a little down time. Hang out with family and friends, make a few memories. It is these types of activities that refresh your being, allowing you to become energized and ready to get back to business afterward.

I was just blogging about this in a previous article related to time management. How it is so important to schedule some downtime and make some memories.

So, what are you doing this weekend?

Father’s Day is upon us and that presents a great opportunity to share the love you have for your Dad and family. Do not fail to take advantage of that. Sure, we all have to work, but be certain to set aside a block of time for “Pops”.

If like I, your Dad is no longer with you, honor his memory by keeping the family together as a close and inseparable unit.

26 years ago, I lost my Day and I have missed him ever since. Seems we didn’t have quite enough time together, but such is life. I honor him every day by trying to be the man he envisioned.

Schedule that downtime, not only this weekend but regularly. This should be a part of your routine. These family times are the best.

Be safe and love thy family!
