Getting Rich Quick – Not!
By
Wouldn’t you like to make money online, and get rich quick? How many programs and emails have you received promising to do just that? As listed on the About The OBB page, promises of overnight success and get-rich-quick schemes are among the things that you will not find on this blog, except to point out the obvious misrepresentations presented by these types of offers.
My spam filter picked off an email recently that contained an offer to deliver to me, 5 money making websites within 6 minutes. Each site is valued at $3,997, a sum just short of 20 grand, but I could have them for next to nothing. Must be my lucky day huh?
The sites have a “Revolutionary Breakthrough Technology that POURS Cash Directly Into Your Pocket Automatically!! – Guaranteed!!”
So this must be the opportunity I’ve been searching for. Just think, I could be an overnight success, rolling in the dough and having done very little work to accomplish this newfound lifestyle.
If I opt-in I can have the 5 proven websites, a revolutionary system, powerful videos on each site, advanced lead-capture technologies, lightning fast sales generating technology, a built-in viral marketing system and a carefully designed follow-up marketing system.
This must be why there are pictures of mansions and six-figure cars on the site, after all, this can all be mine if I just join up. I can then buy million dollars houses starting at just $1,995!
So why would they do this for me? They answer that question by saying that they are “good people” and if I were ever to meet them face to face, I would see them as I see my kind loving neighbors.
By now you should know that what I have described thus far is from a landing page full of horse-hockey. This is just another one of those schemes being run on the internet that takes advantage of people who want something for nothing. Ask yourself this, If you had a network of websites generating up to $2 Million dollars monthly (as they claim), why would you be wasting time trying to sell the plan to others for “next to nothing”? Â By the way, the next to nothing price is $47 in this case.
I’d be counting my money and sailing the oceans, island hopping. At 2 mill a month, I’d work 6 to 12 months and call it a career, maybe
.
These types of outrageous ads are all over the internet and they will be around forever. Why? Because they work. Many will fall prey to these promises of get rich quick, only to find that they have lost a considerable amount of weight in their back pockets.
There is no doubt that the operators of these types of websites make money, and plenty of it. But it’s not because of the system they promise to share with you, it’s the system they hope you don’t catch onto until you have spent a considerable amount of your cash. You see, they sign up hundreds of wannabe marketers and take their money then move on. The victims are out a few hundred or maybe even a few thousand dollars while the operators keep a good portion for writing catchy but misleading ad copy.
Like any other business, if you really want to make money, you will have to dedicate yourself to the effort, get some education or training about what you are trying to accomplish and take action upon what you have learned. It’s that simple. If you follow this route and stick to it, you can make money online. This may take you many months or years, but perseverance will get you to a decent payday.
When you see these emails and other ads promising the moon with a few stars and planets thrown in, quickly move on to reality and leave these pitches for the dreamers. Otherwise, you’ll be doomed to failure and frustration while someone else is spending your hard-earned money.
